The West Face New Product Training: Evaluation
Assessment Activities
Based upon Kirkpatrick’s Four Levels of Evaluation, activities will include a survey, multiple choice, true/false and matching questions, observations and interviews.
Reaction
Using a Likert Scale of 1-10, the learners will be asked to rate how they feel about the training by responding to statements such as
I feel I learned a lot in this training.
I think this training helps me to do my job better.
I feel competent to explain the features and benefits of the Sierra XS backpack.
Navigation on the training was intuitive and easy to understand.
Using a Semantic Differential, the learners will be asked to rate their reaction to the value of the training with contrasting adjectives such as
Useless ---Valuable
Boring --- Interesting
Effective --- Ineffective
Learning
The learners will take the online knowledge check to review at the end of the course. (See also DESIGN and DEVELOPMENT)
Behavior
The learners will be subject to Performance Reviews to assess their effectiveness in selling the Sierra XS backpack.
Result
To determine whether the Business Objective was achieved, management will measure sales of the Sierra XS backpack vis a vis backpack sales in general and compare them with similar sales statistics from the previous year and quarters.
