Soft Pop Code of Conduct Course: Design
Learning Theory
The content was designed with a combination of Cognitivist and Constructivist learning theories.
Learners assimilate new content into existing knowledge using real-life challenges and strengthen new knowledge into memory through practice, feedback and tests.
Learners become more responsible for learning, which also focuses on a facilitator role by guiding and stimulating learners with real-world relevance.
The teaching is essentially andragogical. It is developed from life experience and is task-centered.
An Involving Theme
Because learning best takes place in the context in which it is going to be used, the training is from the perspective of several cartoon characters that workers can relate to. These characters portray Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs, such as belonging and self-esteem.
Navigation that Invites Critical Thinking
Each character represents a common type of violation of assets and uses interactive scenarios to support active learning strategies.
Each scenario represents the types of violations an employee is tempted to commit. In the process, students must apply their subject knowledge, critical-thinking and problem-solving skills in a safe, real-world context.
